Showcases will feature 10 performing songwriters and three mentors each.

Participation is free to PSA members, $50 per showcase for non-members.

All participants must be available and willing to perform at the final competitive event in 2008. More details to come soon on the next competition.

Mentors will fill out an evaluation form and assign scores in several categories (i.e. lyrics, music, performance, stage presence).  Category scores will be averaged to determine the writer's score for each mentor, and then averaged with other mentor scores for the final competition.  Averaged scores will be rounded to the nearest decimal, ie 7.2.

Mentors will be provided with guidelines (to be developed) to encourage moderate scoring and uniform standards. Scores will be kept confidential so as not to influence future judges, but the best scoring writer will be announced each month.
